American Friends of The Hebrew University (AFHU) and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem paid tribute to James D. Wolfensohn, former World Bank Group President and current Chairman and CEO of Wolfensohn & Company, LLC,and Dr. Jacob A. Frenkel, former Governor of the Bank of Israel and current JPMorgan Chase International Chairman, at a Gala Awards Dinner on Monday, May 16, 2011. Mr. Wolfensohn received the Truman Peace Prize from the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace and Dr. Frenkel received the Scopus Award, AFHU's highest humanitarian honor. The evening, emceed by AFHU President Martin E. Karlinsky, featured a keynote speech by Professor Stanley Fischer, Governor of the Bank of Israel and former Chief Economist at the World Bank. Honorary Gala Chairs were Charles Bronfman, Michael Federmann, Dr. Henry Kissinger, Harvey M. Krueger, Barbara and Mort Mandel, General Colin Powell (ret.),and Mortimer Zuckerman.
