Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

The Harvey M. Krueger Family Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at The Hebrew University Faculty of Science

The Krueger Family Center takes an interdisciplinary approach to research, and promotes interaction among HU scientists in fields working in nanotechnology. Krueger Center scientists have made significant impact worldwide and are serving to create new nanotechnology based industry in Israel.  Nanotechnology involves the development of materials or devices on an atomic or molecular scale, and has broad applications in a variety of fields.  Read more about nanoscience at Hebrew University.

Accomplishments Include:

  • International recognition as a driving force in nanotechnology and as the nucleus for developing this emerging area of high-technology in Jerusalem
  • HU scientists and other university partners are the first to discover the electronic structure of single DNA molecule - important in the study of DNA damage by ultraviolet radiation
  • Developing a revolutionary technique that quickly and reliably reveals hidden fingerprints, aiding in the search for hard-to-detect evidence in crime scenes
Scientists Use Poplar Tree Protein to Boost Computer Memory and Logic
